If you appreciate art in all its forms, come and discover the Espace Matisse! A veritable sanctuary where you can learn or improve your skills in a wide range of plastic arts techniques, this venue also offers free exhibitions by novice artists and local and regional figures.
Located on the ground floor of two apartment blocks in the Quartier du Moulin district of Creil, the Espace Matisse comprises two areas entirely devoted to art: one is devoted to free exhibitions and a library of art books, and the other is divided into a number of art workshops.
You can learn to draw, paint, photograph or sculpt at one-off courses or by taking regular classes throughout the year. Textile techniques are also on the programme, as well as engraving, stained glass, ceramics... In short, there's something for everyone!
GOOD TO KNOW
Classes lasting a few hours are held regularly, giving you the chance to discover a new discipline for free! Check out the Tourist Office's online diary for the next date!
As well as courses and workshops, you can enjoy art in all its splendour thanks to the artist residencies hosted by the Espace Matisse team, and the installations and performances that sometimes take over the street!
