History of the site

House built on the first floor of the former royal castle of Creil, built by the Counts of Clermont at the end of the 12th century.^e century, the birthplace of King Charles IV, then enlarged by Charles V at the end of the 14th century.^e century and occupied by the kings of France until the 17th century.^e century.

Inhabited by the Gallé-Juillet family of notables from Creillon until 20^e century.

House and collections donated to the town of Creil by Berthe Gallé, following the death of her only son in the First World War, and then of her husband in 1928.
