Until 22 sept. 2024
Maison de la faïence 60100 CREIL
from 14h00 to 17h00
The Heritage Department is proud to unveil a temporary exhibition dedicated to the history of sport in Creil, just in time to celebrate the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
From the origins of sport to the emblematic construction of its sports facilities such as the swimming pool and velodrome, this exhibition offers a retrospective of the evolution of Creillois' sporting landscape. Step by step, it traces the rise of the great societies, from the harquebusiers to the golden age of cycling, using documents from the municipal archives, the Musée Gallé-Juillet and local sports associations.
Events that have marked local history, such as the Tour de l'Oise and boxing matches, are also highlighted.
