"To dress is to choose how to present yourself to the world. Whether as a profession, a sense of belonging, a disguise, camouflage or a political act, clothing is omnipresent in our lives. It says something about us that we try to control, but which sometimes escapes us. It reminds us of who we were yesterday, who we dreamed of becoming, who those who came before us were. Over the course of our lives, we all accumulate a lot of clothes, accessories and objects. A symptom of our consumerist societies. Very few can escape it. These objects sometimes pass through the ages, passed from hand to hand, tidied up, piled up, often forgotten, but also found, rediscovered, rehabilitated, made sacred."
