Bombing Museum 60740 SAINT-MAXIMIN
from 14h00 to 18h00
In 1943, Mr. Lequien witnessed the crash of an American plane, shot down in mid-air by the Germans. Years later, he began collecting objects related to the bombings that took place in the Oise region during the Second World War. This extraordinary collection of military objects is completed by uniforms, archive documents, old photographs and maps.
The museum's passionate volunteers present this collection, explaining the causes and consequences of the bombings and passing on the memories of the inhabitants of this quarry village who lived through this shocking period.
