The overall theme of the 2024 Heritage Days is "Heritage of Routes, Networks and Connections" ... and what better way to reconnect with the origins of what makes up our daily lives than to take a "journey"!
Exceptional opening of the Château de Montataire in the Oise region, the Grange du Petit Château next door and the Collegiale Notre Dame du Mont, which will welcome you for a journey through time... that of the Middle Ages and that of the 19th century, 2 key periods for the site, whose origins date back to the 12th century and which found its revival in the 19th century.
The self-guided tour of the exhibition will take you through various sections on the organisation of society, its major transformations, travel to distant lands, scientific and technical discoveries, how health was managed and, of course, a nod to sport in Olympic year. The comparison between these 2 periods is sure to amaze you!
And on Sunday 22 September at 3pm, you can enjoy a concert of early music.
