On Saturday 14 June 2025, from 11am, the town of Senlis (Oise) will be celebrating its history and its forests on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Musée de la Vénerie and its Friends' Association (Société des Amis du Musée de la Vénerie - SAMV). An exceptional day is in store for visitors, with a rich programme of free events featuring traditions, art and historical discoveries.
On this anniversary, rediscover our forests, their history and heritage, and come and meet the people who use them, professionals and associations, at our stands. Whether you're a history buff, an art and nature lover or just curious, there's something for everyone in this rich and free programme.

Musée de la Vénerie and Senlis town centre
The 90th anniversary of the Musée de la Vénerie and its Friends' Association kicks off at 11am, with an official inauguration in front of the museum. This will be followed by a procession of small and large venery teams and their dogs on foot through Senlis town centre. The procession will be accompanied by trumpets and fanfares emblematic of the hunts and crews.

Museum of Venery
The Musée de la Vénerie is opening two exhibitions on 14 June 2025: Les chasses de Carle Vernet on the ground floor and Tenues de veneurs by Charles-Jean Hallo in the Charles-Jean Hallo room. Guided tours of the temporary exhibitions and permanent collections will be available all day from 10am.
- Exhibition of contemporary animal artists
11am - 7pm
Saint-Maurice Priory
All day long, leading contemporary animal artists will be showcasing their work at the Prieuré Saint-Maurice. Following the SAMV General Meeting, Nicolas Bilot will be taking the floor to present his research into the fascinating history of our forests: "The forests of the Oise Valley in the Middle Ages and under the Ancien Régime: hunting grounds, living quarters".
- Trumpet and organ concert

Notre-Dame Cathedral
The trumpeters of the Atlantic Rally, led by Nicolas Dromer, multiple French and international champion, and Marc Sacrispeyre, titular of the great organs of Senlis, combine their instruments for an exceptional concert in the heart of the cathedral of Notre-Dame de Senlis.
