This priory church is a masterpiece of transitional artThis was the pivotal period between Romanesque and Gothic art.
Until the Revolution, the church belonged to the Cluniac monastery of Saint-LeuIt is now privately owned and can be visited during the Heritage Days.
When can you visit the Abbey of Saint-Nicolas?
Rarely open to the public, you can still discover the interior of the Abbey of Saint-Nicolas in Saint-Leu-d'Esserent. Sunday afternoons from May to Septemberfor self-guided tours. Explanatory panels accompany your visit.
Outside these hours, a glass airlock allows you to admire the interior of the church, every day, all year round.
